1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Rewordify (hereinafter “we”) collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data when you use our web application (hereinafter “the Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you accept this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with its terms, we invite you not to use the Service.
We are committed to processing your personal data in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of personal data (“GDPR”).
2. Data collected
We only collect the data necessary for the operation of the Service:
- Identification: email address (for creating and managing your account).
- Submitted content: texts that you submit for processing (temporarily stored, see § 7).
- Technical data: connection logs, IP address, browser type, device.
- Payment: we do not store your payment information. Transactions are processed by secure third-party providers compliant with PCI-DSS standards.
3. Purposes and legal bases of processing
Your data is processed for the following purposes:

4. Advertising and marketing communications
With your consent, we may use certain data (e.g. your email address, in hashed form) to create advertising audiences on third-party platforms (e.g. Meta, TikTok).
You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us (see § 10).
5. Data sharing
We never sell your personal data. We only share certain data with:
- Technical service providers strictly necessary for the operation of the Service. Stripe Payments Europe Ltd (Ireland). Vercel Inc. (USA) and Supabase Inc. (USA/Singapore). OpenAI (USA)
- Marketing service providers (Meta Platforms Inc. and TikTok Inc.) only if you have given consent for targeted advertising.
- The competent authorities, if required by law.
If transfers outside the European Union are necessary (e.g. accommodation or service providers located in the United States), they will be governed by standard contractual clauses validated by the European Commission.
6. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
7. Shelf life
- E-mail address: kept as long as the account is active, then deleted within 30 days after the account is deleted, unless a purchase has been made. If you subscribed to a paid plan, your identification data and payment history are kept for 10 years (French legal tax obligation).
- Submitted content (texts): stored temporarily for the duration of processing, then automatically and irreversibly deleted.
- Technical data (logs): kept for a maximum of 12 months.
- Advertising consents: kept until your consent is withdrawn.
8. User Rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights over your data:
- Right of access and copy,
- Right of rectification,
- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”),
- Right to object,
- Right to restriction of processing,
- Right to portability,
- Right to withdraw your consent at any time (for processing based on it).

In the event of an unresolved dispute, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
9. Changes to the Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy. Any change will be published on this page along with an update of the effective date.
